Happy Friday! If you do one thing this weekend – be sure to shop my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 picks! As can be seen from yesterday’s post, and my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale guide, it’s easy to tell that I have spent a bit of time online combing through all of the amazing new fall inventory.
The best way to go about shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is to really think about what you love to wear and what you will get the most use of during the fall and winter. Additionally, what pieces are missing? Maybe a long vest, a leather jacket, or the perfect pair of distressed jeans. Take a step back, make a list, and stick to it!
A super-easy way to re-evaluate your fall and winter wardrobe is to look through your social media channels. Scroll back through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, etc. and remind yourself of what you wore, loved, and what you really need for the seasons ahead.

Last winter, we road tripped to Nashville (one of our favorite towns) where we stayed at our friends’ house. We loved trying out new restaurants, exploring the city, and, of course, mural hunting. I also had the chance to grab coffee with Elsie Larson of A Beautiful Mess – she is such an inspiration and just the sweetest gal. This red coat is one of my most used during colder weather. I love the bold color and how it compliments almost every outfit. Beyond that, it layers perfectly with a quilted vest or heavy sweater. Additionally, these Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots are always a go-to because they are so easy to throw on, and they repel snow and rain! Lastly, sweater dresses are the perfect addition to any fall wardrobe. They pair so well with tights and boots or with a pair of statement pumps on day when the temps are still moderate. I found a bunch of fantastic options – some of which have already made their way into my closet!
