Day three at Playa Grande Beach Club, and I’m convinced that we’re never leaving! They may need to drag me out of this resort, maxi dresses and all. Haha! We’re having such a wonderful time in the Dominican Republic, and one of the biggest surprises of this experience has been the people. Normally, I tend to be pretty private and reserved on trips, rarely meeting people or striking up conversations with others. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not trying to be stand-offish or aloof – I simply feel like I’m imposing on someone else’s trip if I say something. Does that happen to you as well?

Well, at Playa Grande, there are only a handful of people at the resort. It’s awkward (and frankly strange) if you don’t connect or chat with others! From day one, Anne (who I’ve mentioned previously here), made us feel right at home. One person that I haven’t introduced to you yet is Colette of COCOCOZY. Guys – she’s AMAZING. You must read her blog, especially if you love interior design. She’s positively delightful – smart, hilarious, and crazy talented. She has the most amazing line of textiles (here). I have my eye on this gorgeous COCOCOZY Logo Throw Blanket in Aqua and the Tower Court Cotton Pillows. You’ll probably see her on Instagram stories throughout the trip, as she’s seriously so fun to talk to. Maybe I’ll do a Q&A with her during the trip? Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I’m so excited to share these two outfits with you today. Prior to trips, I do a lot of research and planning, and this Paper Crown red stripe dress made the list immediately. Are you familiar with the brand? I’m OBSESSED with their collection, and I have my eye on the navy Primrose Jumpsuit with pom pom trim and this gorgeous strapless red Amargosa Dress.

Finally, I can’t say enough wonderful things about kate spade new york. As I’ve said many times on the blog before, they are my ultimate style spirit animal. They embody everything I love about fashion – color, whimsy, and feminine style. One piece that I can’t seem to get enough of from their spring collection is this novelty clutch. So cute, right? Orange you glad I didn’t say banana 🙂
