It’s hard to believe it’s already fall! In preparation for cooler weather, I wanted to share some of my top Nordstrom work outfits and office dress options. From sweaters to midi skirts, tailored jackets to dresses, Nordstrom has an amazing array of office-ready styles. Plus, there are apparel and accessory options at every price point and something to suit your personal style.

As someone who’s worked in an office setting for nearly 20 years, I’ve truly tried and worn every workwear option under the sun. Some looks have been winners, others needed some work (lol). But I’ve loved the ability to flex my office fashion muscles. Thankfully, my offices have always been creative spaces with stylish colleagues.

Over time, I’ve found my fashion footing and an instinct for effortless work wear pieces. In addition to getting dressed to go into an office for work, I travel for business – a lot. Therefore, I’m always looking for items that do the trick for the work week, but also for when I’m on the road.

Nordstrom Work Outfits

As you can imagine, styling looks for the office is way different then for when I was in a fully remote work setting. In-person business meetings are quite different than being “Zoom ready” from the waist up, lol.

In the past decade, and especially since the peak of the pandemic, overly-stuffy work wear has gone by the wayside. However, classic tailoring will always be in style. Thankfully, Nordstrom work outfits are incredibly classic while being comfortable and versatile. To start, check out the Nordstrom Made brands, including BP., Caslon, Chelsea28, Halogen, Treasure & Bond, Open Edit, and Rachel Parcell. Each one has a very distinct style – you’ll be sure to find a few favorites.

One way to embrace tailored looks in a comfortable way is to opt for soft, knit fabrics. For example, the green slit skirt below is a sleek shape yet constructed from a jersey knit stretch fabric. The end result is an easy all-day option for the office. Pair it with a classic cropped sweater, and you’re good to go!

Sharp Tailoring

One of the best ways to elevate your work wear game is by opting for tailored separates. Thankfully, there are a wealth of options from Nordstrom Made brands for the season ahead. For me, a classic blazer will always be in vogue. This black option from Open Edit has a relaxed fit and is under $80 – love that. Also, can we have a moment for this sweater dress?! Halogen refers to it as a “season-spanning sweater dress,” and I couldn’t agree more.
