Rachel Antonoff Red Stripe Dress in Paris

Jennifer Lake Eiffel Tower Paris

Remember that scene in The September Issue where Grace Coddington spoke about always keeping her eyes open? (If not, scroll to the bottom of the post to watch the clip.) In short, she learned early-on in her career to make the most of the moments where she could otherwise unplug and not pay attention to her surroundings. Even though I first saw this iconic documentary back in 2009, that part of the film still resonates with me to this day.

Fast forward to our trip to Paris earlier this month, and Grace’s words repeated in my head each time we found ourselves in the back of an Uber. As tempting as it was, I resolved to keep my phone in my purse and watch each corner and side street of Paris as we drove around the City of Lights. As luck would have it, I spotted these bright red doors on a drive back to our hotel and quickly realized they were located on the other side of the block! I knew this Rachel Antonoff red stripe dress would be the perfect compliment. Best of all, we could walk there! Next time you find yourself in a new locale, I encourage you to take Grace’s advice; you never know what you might discover!
