Fall Workwear Looks: Retro Plaid

How is it already August?! From our annual trip to Nantucket to a weekend in Napa followed by a work trip, July flew by. Thankfully, we’ll be home for the foreseeable future. Also, August has me planning for the season ahead, cooler weather, and new fashion. In today’s post, I wanted to share some fall workwear looks.

First up, this amazing matchy-matchy checked look. The a-line skirt has a soft, tweed like feel without being too bulky. Plus, the black and tan checked short trench goes with everything. Moreover, I love how the skirt alone with a classic black shell slingbacks has a 90’s flair to it. To me, the full look is very Cher Horowitz. Plus, the skirt and top alone is reminiscent of Caroline Bessette Kennedy. Either way, all the retro vibes are covered!

Fall Workwear Looks: Pastel Layers

So, some might think pastels are best suited for spring and summer. Well, I couldn’t disagree more. Beautiful soft colors are perfect year-round. Moreover, a perfect dose of cheer amidst the other heavy autumnal options might be just what you need in the office. Better yet, the layers allow you to adjust based on the temps. An unseasonably warm day? The top and skirt are lightweight enough to keep you comfortable. Should a cloudy, cool day appear, add the jacket and trench! Additionally, I love the idea of the blazer and blouse paired with denim for a high-low look. Even the blouse alone makes for the perfect Zoom top!
