Okay, is this perfect holiday outfit? Absolutely! From the luxe velvet fabric to the pleated design, I’m convinced it’s the ideal dress for special occasions.
Plus, as I’ve discussed in the past, ASOS is one of my go-to websites for affordable dresses. In fact, their ASOS Design and ASOS Edition sub-brands are some of my most frequently shopped styles. Also, I’m heartbroken they stopped their ASOS Salon line. Frankly, it was their best collection! I miss the embellished and embroidered styles from the line.

Anyway, this green velvet midi dress puts me at ease! It’s under $100, and the fabric gives you so much movement. Plus, it doesn’t get too much static or cling to the body. After all, I style this winter dress with opaque tights. Therefore, I need to make sure it doesn’t cling to my legs!

As always, invest in some Static Guard! As a lifelong Chicagoan, I always have two or three bottles of it. Spray the inside of the dress to keep it from sticking to your legs. Plus, buy the travel size version of it, too. Pack it in your suitcase. You’ll thank me later!
Buy a Women’s Slip
Furthermore, I’d recommend buying a slip to wear with this style. Make sure it’s short, though! Plus, you can wear with multiple dresses. Best of all, designers are creating really chic styles. These aren’t your grandma’s slip!

Yes, I adore this green velvet dress. However, there’s one catch! The neckline has a deep-v. Like, a big deep-v. Therefore, you need to buy this bra. Trust! I wear it with so many dresses with tricky necklines. Friends, I’ve recommended the bra to so many people. Every time, they come back to thank me. Keep in mind, the style is reusable up to 50 times with proper care. Clean it thoroughly!
