All of My Nantucket Outfits (Part Two)
As promised, I wanted to share a follow-up to my last outfit post from this summer’s trip to our favorite island. Hopefully, these Nantucket outfit ideas might help you should you be looking for options for a coastal getaway or just for the vibes! 🙂 While the island is known for it’s casual, laid back approach to attire, I’ve always been someone who loves dressing up. A midi skirt to grocery store? Done and done. A maxi dress to the office on casual Fridays? Definitely, lol. So when it comes to vacations, I love packing outfits that bring me joy.
This year, we were overjoyed to spend time with friends at events and casual get togethers, so having outfit options was truly helpful. I didn’t bring all that many shoes (rare for me frankly). These espadrilles, flats from this brand, these sandals, and this block heel mule were my true workhorses. Plus, my forever-favorite basket bag was worn almost daily.

Bold Prints and a Novelty Bag
This gold metal fish bag quickly became another favorite bag this year. Does it fit my iPhone? Not even close, sorry friends! Am I scared of dropping and denting it? 100%. Regardless, it became the perfect conversation starter and goes with almost everything – including this La DoubleJ printed dress that I wore to their beautiful beach luncheon. This brand never disappoints, and I’m so grateful for making new memories with them and the wider LDJ community.
I’m On A Boat!
A cherished annual Nantucket tradition is a sailing excursion on Endeavor with Captain Jim. There’s nothing better than being on the water and taking in the view of the island while getting a closer look at the other boats, yachts, and charters on the Nantucket sound. This year, I wore a strapless smocked-back striped midi dress with a beaded Nantucket-exclusive Staud bag.
Ice Cream You Scream
The Juice Bar is an island go-to for pretty much everyone. Even as someone who doesn’t gravitate towards sweets, I can’t help but enjoy a waffle cone with a scoop of peanut butter chocolate. It’s rare for there not to be a line down the block, so we lucked out on walking right in on a random weekday morning in Town.

Just Beachy
When you’re on an island, you need to have at least one beach day (or three). The ones we love the most are Steps Beach, Surfside Beach, Jetties Beach, and Madaket Beach. Steps, featured above, is close to Town and a bit quieter. Surfside is on the southern part of the island and has a great grab-and-go food spot (The Surf). Jetties Beach is a lively and fun beach with a sit down restaurant and bar (Sandbar). Lastly, Madaket is on the westernmost part of the island – perfect for sunsets. Plus, Millie’s is right there.
Girl Dinner
Allie and Elle snagged us a reservation at Billie’s, a newer spot on the island. The food was truly incredible and the overall design and vibe were both stunning. We all had the best time, and I count myself lucky to have friends like them in my life.
Skirt, Set, Match
The embroidery on this top and skirt had me at hello. I found them both to be true to size and each can be paired with other closet staples so easily. I’ve also worn the top with high-waisted denim and the skirt with a sweater on the same cobalt blue hue.
Floral the Right Reasons
While we were on the island, I was invited to co-host a shopping event to celebrate the LoveShackFancy x Hunter collaboration. I was so touched by how many friends took time to stop by and shop the pop up. Plus, the brand did a fantastic job of working with local talent and vendors to bring the event to life.
Skirts and Stripes Forever
As a forever fan of prints, La DoubleJ gets it right every time. This breezy linen tiered midi skirt adorned with a golden-hued underwater motif is so pretty in person! I paired with a classic button down and the softest stripe cashmere sweater from Alice Walk. Their island boutique is a must-stop.
Red-y or Not
When I first came across this red terry set from a new-to-me brand inspired by the French Riviera, it was an immediate yes. I found the pieces to be super soft, true to size, and perfect for sunny days beachside. The gold basket necklace from a Chicago-based designer has also been in regular rotation these past few months.
Tennis, Anyone?
Summer vacation can’t be all beaches and restaurants. Sometimes, you need to break a sweat – or, at least dress the part. This tennis lewk from Talbots was a no-brainer. Plus, the gold tennis racquet brooch was the perfect addition. Love!
Summer Soirée
One of our favorite evenings of the summer was hosted by the delightful Meredith Hanson in celebration of men’s golf brand, Holderness & Bourne. Mer’s husband, Patrick, was a great co-host, and all the men in attendance were decked out in H&B apparel. Given the golf brand only includes menswear, all the women at the dinner chose to wear the summer colorful best. It was wonderful to catch up with some of my fave ladies, many of whom I haven’t seen in a minute!
Lawn and Order
Another Nantucket tradition is sunset dinner at TOPPER’S, the iconic restaurant at The Wauwinet. For more than 150 years, The Wauwinet has been one of the island’s most cherished luxury resorts. Situated on the northeast corner of the island, it’s miles away from the busyness of Town and the wharfs. Best of all, their iconic lawn has the most incredible western views of the sunset. Each time we’re there for dinner on a clear night, most of the restaurant takes a moment or two on the lawn before (or during) the meal to embrace the setting sun.
Nantucket by Design
Every summer Nantucket Historical Association honors the island’s rich historical and design tradition with its Nantucket by Design event. This multi-day event brings together top designers, architects, and influencers from around the country to explore design trends, highlight innovative concepts, and celebrate Nantucket’s unique heritage and aesthetic.
This year, I was able to attend a panel hosted by Williams-Sonoma, featuring Aerin Lauder, Josh Young, and Nellie Diamond. It was insightful to hear of each of their experiences in collaborating with Williams-Sonoma.
What I Wore on Nantucket In Closing
It’s a blessing and a joy to travel to this incredible island each year. What matters more than the fun outfits and accessories are the people, places, nature, and traditions that make Nantucket so special.
