All of my Nantucket Outfits
This summer marked our thirteenth year traveling to the island, and it was an even longer trip than the past few years. As always, it’s so wonderful to see and catch up with so many friends. Moreover, it’s amazing to meet new, wonderful people thanks to all of the incredible group lunches and dinners that occurred while we were there.
As always, I packed a variety of layers and options to account for the changing weather. Thankfully, many of the warm sunny days were followed by cool breezy nights with a few spots of rain here and there. This year, we rented a new-to-us house on a part of the island we’ve never stayed before and loved it. It was a quick walk to the beach, a short drive to town, and a relaxing place to call home for a couple weeks.

Travel Day
I chose breezy layers for our trip from Chicago. It’s life-changing to have direct flights to Nantucket via United these past few summers. To note, the direct options are Saturdays and Sundays only and just during summer. Regardless, we’ll take what we can get, lol! This fish embroidered skirt was a favorite of mine during our trip to Harbour Island, so it was a no-brainer to pack again.

Dinner with Friends
We met up with Mackenzie and Will at Pi Pizzeria – one of our fave mid-island spots. We found out the place is up for sale, as the current owners are planning their retirement. I’m hoping whomever buys it keeps the menu, as their pizzas are so fantastic. Plus, they gave the best steak on the island. Our cozy dinner called for a soft sweater, and this J. Crew option did the trick.

Christy Lynn Pop-Up Party
For the second summer in a row, Christy Lynn hosted an incredible pop up in partnership with Marissa Collections. She had several island exclusives like the super soft cashmere sweater above. Best of all, I got to sneak a few snuggles with Christy’s adorable pup, Oliver!

J. McLaughlin x Mark D. Sikes Luncheon
J. McLaughlin brought together an incredible group of people for a lunch at Cru to celebrate their collaboration with Mark D. Sikes. Mark was there to greet guests and also to host a shopping experience at the island JMcL store. As a devoted fan of Mark’s MDS Stripes line, it was lovely to see how this new collab came to life!

Nantucket Red Canvas Tote
Mark & Graham launched their Nantucket Red color of their iconic Steele tote collaboration just in time for our trip. It was the perfect option to load up for days on the beach, grocery shopping, and general errands. Naturally, I had to get an ACK monogram added to the bag!

A Citrine Moment in Sconset
I adore this citrusy hue, and finding it in a tiered midi skirt and embroidered top was so fun. Both pieces work perfectly on their own as well. Later in the trip, I swapped out the top for a pale blue striped option for a fun group dinner and loved how it paired.

Sue Sartor Garden Gathering
To celebrate the Sue Sartor x McBournie Richards Collaboration Capsule, the brands hosted a darling afternoon at a stunning private residence. The dressed feature hand-printed sailor’s knots, cat boats, summer blooms and whimsical lattice motifs drawn from the timeless spirit of Nantucket Island.

Shopping in Town
There’s always something new to find shopping on Nantucket along with tried and true island stalwarts. A few of my favorites include Nantucket Looms, Centre Pointe, For Now, Bodega, Bon Ton Antiques, Nantucket House Antiques, Beau & Ro, and more!

Dinner Date Outfit
For me, this Prosperina dress hits all the right notes. From the color combo to the fabric and the midi length, it’s perfect. If you’re in between sizes, I suggest going down a size. It was an ideal option for our dinner out at Le Languedoc Bistro. A friend of mine suggested this restaurant years ago, and we finally went. It was SO good. Best of all, they have a no cell phone policy, so the vibes were just as amazing as the food. The steak frites and the burger were both incredible. Highly recommend!

Marvelous Madras
I’m such a sucker for a set. This pastel madras option is no exception. For both of these pieces, I also suggest going down a size if you’re in between. I paired it with my fave small canvas tote and new J. Crew necklace.

Flower Power
Another matching set to love! I’m always so impressed when a brand can perfectly match patters and colors on two totally different fabrics. The cardigan is a classic cotton blended knit, and the pants are a linen/tencel blend. Something to note on the pants: they are surprisingly long (roughly a 32″ inseam). As a 5’4″ gal, I made sure to use my iron-on hemming tape for these pants, and it worked out perfectly,

A Shell of a Good Time
I love how this summer’s fashion included so many sea-life prints. This lobster dress includes a smocked back, ruched drop waist, and scalloped straps. Plus, it’s fully lined and fits true to size. The brand calls it a maxi, but it’s a borderline midi length – which is fine with me!

Red, White, and Blue
An Americana-friendly cotton dress on Nantucket? Groundbreaking – lol. This timeless plaid dress is so good. I love the smocked bodice, the pockets, and the adjustable straps. Plus, it’s under $100. I paired it with my most-worn sweater of the season from Cartolina.

Island Dinner Party
Marissa Collections hosted the most incredible dinner party to celebrate the inimitable Irene Neuwirth. The entire experience was exquisite, and I’m delighted to have spent it with Allie and many new friends. I wore feather-trimmed maxi dress from La Double J and paired it with a turquoise and pink opal statement necklace from this year’s Jennifer Behr x Julia Berolzheimer capsule.
What I Wore On Nantucket (In Closing)
Nantucket is such a special place. Each year, we discover so many more reasons to love the destination. From the people, to the small business, incredible restaurants, and natural beauty, it’s unlike any other island we’ve been. Cheers to the next thirteen summers on ACK. Stay tuned for part two of what I wore on Nantucket!
