As we look ahead to Thanksgiving, questions come up everywhere we look. What to do, where to go, who to see (if anyone), etc. Therefore, I’ve been planning my Thanksgiving outfit idea well in advance. One less thing to worry about, you know?

Bob and I are going to stay at home over the holiday weekend. With the pandemic still underway, we’re trying to do our part to be safe and smart. At the same time, I still want to dress up! After all, COVID has taken enough from us, and I’m tried of it dulling our shine.

This Thanksgiving, I’m going to dress up and just enjoy the holiday.

Thanksgiving Outfit Idea

So what am I planning to wear? Well, pleated skirts are one of my all-time favorite clothing items (like this floral version, faux leather option, and this bold yellow piece). Best of all, most brands design these skirts with stretchy waistbands. Talk about the perfect Thanksgiving option! Haha! Stretch is key when you’re eating a ton of food.

Sitting around watching TV? Chatting with family or friends? Eating a big meal? Pleated skirts can handle it all.

Plus, most pleated skirts are offered in a midi length. Therefore, your knees are always covered, and your skirt doesn’t ride up when you sit down. Lastly, the fabrics tend to be blended so they don’t wrinkle or crease easily.

One of my favorite brands for pleated skirts is ASOS. They offer a ton of different colors, prints, patterns, and styles. Here’s a link to the brand that I’m wearing, but to be transparent – it’s not my favorite out of all of the styles I own. Yes, the colors are fabulous. However, it’s slightly sheer.

What Are You Planning to Wear?

I’d love to hear what you’re planning to wear for the holiday ahead! Keep me posted in the comments below! Additionally, I’ve included some of of my favorite pleated skirts to shop (most are below $100).
