10.13.2017 // Friday Charades

Cheers, and welcome to this week’s Friday Charades! This weekend marks one of my favorite events of the entire year – the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Los Angeles. It’s no secret I’m a fan of the brand and event (as seen here and here). In case you missed it, I created a guide for the New York event, and most of the advice works for the LA one too. In the meantime, I’m sharing one last post from our trip to Portugal. I seriously could have spent all day admiring these adorable striped homes!

Be sure to see more details of the weekend ahead and all of my favorite links from around the web at the bottom of the post!

One of my favorite aspects of the Veuve Clicqout Polo Classic (aside from the champs) is that the event has amazing, Instagram-worthy decor and fun people watching. The absolute best part is spending time with friends. I can’t wait to hang out with Allie and Dana, and also catch up with Megan and Hallie. While I get out to LA quite often for work, I don’t have much free time to get together with friends in the area (or anyone other than clients and media for that matter). I can’t wait to see everyone!

I’m also thrilled to be partnering with NET-A-PORTER for the event. Let’s just say that my outfit is perfectly designed to “bust a Veuve” – lol! Here are a few other outfit options I had previously considered:

  • Outfit Option #1: This darling dress. As a Rosé Garden guest, the print just seemed to make sense (complete with this bag of course).
  • Outfit Option #2: Also considered this statement skirt (or this version) paired with a chic white top (like this).
  • Outfit Option #3: And if I really had my way, I’d be going wearing this! Casual, you know? Haha!

I decided for something slightly more understated than a gown- it’s definitely a daytime party dress! Stay tuned on Instagram and Instagram stories for all of the weekend fun!

Lastly, here are things that make me happy this week:

  • Just purchased this dress. OBSESSED.
  • Julia’s trip to Bermuda is giving me major travel envy!
  • I recently wore these boots to a hair appointment, and as I was returning to my car, a lady screamed across the street, “Oh my gosh, YOUR SHOES!!!” Week made!
  • Wow. Just wow. Easily one of my favorite blog posts to date by Kelly. The messages throughout are so important!
  • This dress has been bookmarked for weeks and keeps flying off the site. Sigh. Come back in stock in my size already!
  • Enter Dayna’s fabulous blog post. These are definitely an OMG style, my friend.
  • Need a good cardigan for fall? I swear by this one!
  • John is making a great case for fall layers. Love how he styled his looks!
  • Speaking of shoes, QVC and FFANY Shoes on Sale are raising money in honor of National Breast Cancer Month. I mean, can we talk about these, these and these?
  • This midi skirt is calling my name!
  • Grace’s London trip this week has been so fun to follow! She always finds the best spots in any city, especially her hometown! Thankfully, she’s divulging details about her favorite spa in New York here.
  • Bringing these with me to LA!
  • Congrats to Kelly and Mitch’s on their news. Excited for the next step of their journey!
  • I forgot these on the last domestic flight I took. It’ll NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. First thing I packed for the trip this weekend!
  • Carrie is so chic in stripes!
  • Ever considered getting a keratin treatment for your hair? Be sure to read Mackenzie’s post first.
  • The perfect fall sweater! Love the hue!
  • Congrats to Danielle on getting married this week! If the initial photos are any indicator, they had a PHENOMENAL wedding.
  • Pulling out this jacket this week made me happy! Yay fall!
  • How fun did Amanda’s road trip to Austin City Limits look with HomeAway?
