Happy Sunday from Nantucket! It’s been so great to be back on the island, and I’m excited to enjoy the next few days here. When packing for the trip, this Caroline Constas Lyssa dress was at the very top of my list. I love it so much, I bought it in two colors! Best of all, it’s a cotton-linen blend, so it’s extremely lightweight and breathable. Plus, it’s roomy and comfortable without being frumpy. I’m also obsessed with this smocked off the shoulder stripe dress by the same designer. Additionally, I found some similar (and more affordable) versions here and here.
On Friday, we had drinks with Ali, Mackenzie, and Will (an annual tradition) at Greydon House. We had originally planned to go to Nautilus, but the wait for a table was way too long. In fact, Bob and I were heading to meet the them and literally bumped into Ali and Mackenzie as they were walking from the first restaurant. In the end, it worked out perfectly, because there were a few couches available on the balcony of Greydon House. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a couple bottles of rosé, and catch up. Don’t you love when you can see friends who live in different cities and pick up where you left off without skipping a beat?! Also, if you don’t already, be sure to bookmark Ali and Mackenzie’s blogs (linked above) and follow them on Instagram (here and here). They are both such wonderful people!
Yesterday, we slept in way longer than expected (I blame the amazing accommodations at 21 Broad), and then we had a leisurely brunch at Met on Main. After some shopping on the wharf, we headed to ‘Sconset for the afternoon and took-in the orangey-pink sunset at Summer House before heading back to Town. At the end of each night, we’ve taken advantage of the front porch and Adirondack chairs at 21 Broad to enjoy a nightcap and people watch. Since the hotel is in the heart of Town, it’s the perfect spot to see tourists and locals go by. It’s such an entertaining way to end a day on the Grey Lady!
