After more than a decade, we’re thrilled to be heading back to one of our all-time favorite destinations – Harbour Island, Bahamas. 10 years ago, Bob and I stayed at The Dunmore and immediately fell in love with the pink sands and beautiful homes on the island. Today, I’m sharing my go-to Harbour Island packing list – all of the outfits, accessories, and skincare products. Hopefully this list provides some inspiration for your upcoming vacations!

Harbour Island Packing List
Harbour Island truly feels like you’ve been transported to heaven. During our first visit, one of the locals mentioned they refer to the island as the “billionaire’s paradise.” That statement made me giggle, but in truth – I can certainly see why. The destination is unlike any other Caribbean island we’ve visited, and trust me, I’ve visited a LOT.
Harbour Island feels like world’s away from other Caribbean destinations and even Bahamas locations, like Nassau or Paradise Island. The tiny island feels like a hidden gem where the stresses of the world fades away. If you’re like me and Bob and adore destinations like Nantucket, Charleston, and Palm Beach, you will absolutely LOVE booking a trip here.
Since we’re heading to the island in June, the weather is going to be decently hot – think highs of 83 and lows of 81. Since Bob works in education, summer is one of the very few times we can travel for extended periods of time. Therefore, this is truly the best timing for us to enjoy a slightly longer vacation than normal.
At the same time, we learned our lesson in the past. Everything we’re packing features lightweight fabrics and weightless silhouettes to ensure we stay cool throughout the day.
Harbour Island Outfits
Planning vacation packing lists often feels like an Olympic sport. I love curating daily looks, and often plan my outfits two months in advance. Is that a bit much? Yes, yes it is. 🙂 But frankly, there’s nothing better than the peace of mind knowing that I have everything I need for our daily activities – from swimwear to tennis gear, nighttime dinner looks to cocktail casual.
While I won’t share the exhaustive list, I wanted to share some of my favorites that are coming with! First is this gorgeous ombré dress from one of my favorite womenswear brands. The colors literally match the property’s beach umbrellas and chairs. Yay for a fun sunset photo shoot moment and date night dress. I’m pairing it with these statement earrings.
Also, I can’t head to Harbour Island without packing a look or two from Lilly Pulitzer. This sumner, I’ve fallen head over heels for their vacation dresses. SO many good options, and they never let me down. I’m excited to pack this stunning maxi dress with beautiful white trim and wicker bag.
Additionally, I’m thrilled to be styling some new looks from Prosperina, a brand that’s creating beautiful pieces all under $200. I’m a big fan of what they’re designing, and looking forward to wearing some items from their new summer collection.
Lastly, there are also some exciting capsule collections launching this month, so I’m planning to bring a few items to preview. While I can’t share all of the details just yet, there are some truly fun launches; I can’t wait to share more soon!
Welp, this list is just skimming the surface, but I promise to share all of the behind-the-scenes content on my Instagram page! I’ll also be regularly updating my LTK shop with all of the outfits and skincare products.
Skincare
Now that I’m in my early 40’s, sun protection has never been more on my mind. I’m a daily sunscreen wearer, and go to extra lengths to make sure I’m protecting my skin from sun exposure. For this trip, I’m bringing several sunscreens, including my go-to facial sunscreen. I’ll also be testing out a new Korean sunscreen that I’ve heard amazing things about from these dermatologists. For the body, I’m opting for this sunscreen and sunscreen gel. Can you tell I love sunscreen, lol?
Additionally, we’ll be bringing aloe (just in case), along with my current daily and nighttime skincare faves. This includes my favorite gentle cleanser, daily toner and exfoliating toner, essence with hyaluronic acid, serum, and moisturizer. I’ll also be packing my Tretinoin, which is my go-to prescription retinoid.
Above all, I’m packing not one – but five hats. A little extra, lol. But one of the best defenses against the sun is wearing hats. So you best believe I’ll be wearing one from sunrise to sunset. 🙂 Recently, I purchased this sun hat with several colorful ribbons to switch out depending on the outfit. I also bought this raffia hat, which is amazing price and will be perfect for all of our trips ahead. Lastly, I’m packing these foldable hats, which always make an appearance during our vacations. Love them!
Miscellaneous Harbour Island Packing List Items
During our last trip to the island, I had an allergic reaction at a restaurant. It’s the first time that’s ever happened to me (and thankfully we figured out the ingredient quickly – conch, to be specific). Let’s just say we were ill prepared. Thankfully, Bob had packed a single Benadryl in his toiletry bag. Phew! This time, we’re coming extra prepared with meds for any scenario – from Benadryl to Tylenol.
Last but certainly not least, I had the pleasure of meeting the Steamline Luggage team in-person, and they are truly incredible! As most of you know, I’ve been a longtime advocate of the brand, and even feature their luggage as storage and décor in our living room. They recently unveiled a new limited-edition collection with Hamilton Princess in Bermuda (see my hotel review here). From packing cubes to their carry-on luggage, I’m super excited to be bringing their pieces on their trip!
