Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! In today’s post, I’m sharing one of my go-to looks: an ivory midi slip skirt with a lightweight sweater. Here, I paired it with lavender accessories. The best part of a monochromatic base is the ability to add-in whichever other hue you’d like!

This will be a busy week on the home front, as we are moving full steam ahead on house projects. First, our family room furniture is being delivered today (more on that soon)! Also, we have someone scheduled to begin adding crown molding to a few rooms. Lastly, we have our HVAC guys stopping by to look at one of our central air units. Last Saturday, the temps were in the upper 90s with a heat index well into the 100s (what global warming?). Sadly, one of the A/C condensers decided to throw in the towel (womp womp). Obviously, there are MUCH larger concerns in the world, and we always remind ourselves of this when something goes awry. Regardless, we have our fingers and toes crossed that it will be an easy (and affordable) fix!

Given that the temps on the second floor of the home were much hotter than the norm, we decided to camp out in the basement. Thankfully, we have dual-zone HVAC, so the main floor and basement weren’t impacted. In fact, it gave us the perfect excuse to spend time putting together the lower level guest bedroom! Sometimes, it’s hilarious to think of what used to constitute a fun Saturday afternoon in my 20s compared to my 30s, lol!

Styling A Midi Slip Skirt

Ultimately, the blazing temps broke Saturday night making Sunday a much more bearable day. On our way to catch a movie, we stopped by this new-ish mural in the South Loop. I’ve had it on my radar for weeks and weeks, but we’ve been traveling so much that it’s been tricky to find time for some fun Chicago photos. Recently, I received this gorgeous Senreve bag in the mail – the “wisteria mimosa” colorway had me at “hello!” As soon as I saw it in person, I knew this lilac floral mural would be the perfect compliment.
