It was a late night last night, because the Cubs game didn’t begin until 8:00 PM. Granted, it could have been a 4:00 AM start, and the stands still would have been packed! There’s something so indescribably special about watching the Cubs at Wrigley Field. My family has been lifelong fans – especially my dad and brother. I swear they both bleed Cubby blue.
Every time I go to Wrigley, I get chills thinking of all of the amazing memories we’ve had at the ballpark and in the neighborhood. My very first apartment in Chicago was just a few blocks from the park. Next year, I will have the pleasure of leading the PR efforts for the opening of the hotel across from Wrigley Field. Without going into too many details (especially since I don’t like to talk about my full-time work on this blog), I can think of no better way to toast to a neighborhood that has meant so much to my family over the years. As we walked out of the ballpark at the end of the night, I couldn’t help but look over at the construction of the hotel and feel excited about the next chapter of this iconic Chicago neighborhood.
Today’s post features a fun Chicago flamingo mural along with a relaxed, layered fall outfit. The long vest creates a bit of height to the look while the blush velvet shoes are just plain fun! This sleeveless tuxedo-inspired vest runs a little big, so I suggest sizing down. Best of all it’s now on sale! Also, this tie-front tunic shirt is SO comfy. I couldn’t resist getting it in light blue as well. Finally, the convertible crossbody bag from FEED is available in three colors. Each bag purchase provides 50 meals to families in need via Food Bank NYC. Such a great cause!
