Six Great Things to Try Right Now

From TV Shows to Kitchen Items
Art Television for Home

Hi, friends! Today, I’m keeping things light and bright and sharing six great things that I’m loving right now. In general, I hope to make this an ongoing series! Keep me posted on your thoughts and if you like the overall format. In general, I plan to highlight new products, brands, books, movies, TV series, and beyond. Hopefully, this sparks new ideas for you and sheds some light on great options for your home/life.

Six Great Things

For this new Six Great Things series, I won’t share only expensive items. Doesn’t that drive you nuts when you read blogs and realize that everything is aspirational? Some items will be free, others will be designer. All in all, I’ll mix the price points up! 🙂 Additionally, it’ll be a mix of fashion, home, entertainment, beauty, skincare and travel items.

Voluspa’s Maison Collection

Friends, Voluspa candles and home fragrances are just SO good. Thankfully, they’ve been sending me some of their new scents to incorporate into our home, and I’m in love with everything. As you may know, I’m obsessed with home fragrances (definitely read this blog post for a few of our faves).

For Voluspa, we started by testing out the French Cade Lavender last year. I was sold! Soon we tried more of their collection, including Gogi Orange during winter and Apple Blue Clover earlier this year.

Recently, Voluspa re-released their Maison Collection of 16 total scents, four of which are brand new. Ultimately, they split the collection into two different sub-lines, Maison Blanc and Maison Noir. Frankly, you can’t go wrong with any of the scents. Currently, my favorite is this one (although this scent is a close runner-up).

Le Creuset Artichaut

Le Creuset Round Marble Dutch Oven

Over winter, we purchased our very first Le Creuset 5.5 White Round Dutch Oven. Bob and I were sold! After using it at least once a week, we’re convinced it’s the best item we’ve added to our kitchen ever. Thankfully, the team at Le Creuset saw our #CookingCharades content and sent us a few new pieces to round out our collection. Specifically, one of the items was their new Le Creuset Round Marble Dutch Oven. It’s GORGEOUS!

Sure, it looks great in the kitchen overall (we always keep it out on our stovetop). Furthermore, it just works wonders in recipes. Everything cooks evenly, and the size is fantastic for two people.

Crispy Parmesan Eggs

Brunch is by the far the best meal of the week. Over the weekend, Bob and I cooked this recipe from the New York Times, and WOW. Just WOW. Five stars all-around. Plus, it doesn’t require a bunch of ingredients. Some of the best recipes are the ones that don’t take too long to create. Additionally, I love you can adds the eggs to other dishes, including pasta and even on top of burgers. Highly recommended!

Netflix’s The One

I’m always on the hunt for great new series to stream, and Netflix’s The One did not disappoint. The plot is quite interesting, too. Basically, the premise is a company that uses your DNA to find your perfect match (aka soulmate). As you can imagine, this new science creates major dissonance and a lot of divorces. Amidst the love and science, the company has a dark underbelly and plenty of secrets. It’s an interesting watch!

Area Stars Collection

Where has this colorful womenswear collection been all my life?! This week, I stumbled upon their dresses on the Nordstrom website. In many ways, the line feels one part Anthropologie, one part Rococo Sand (without the price tag). In fact, their dresses all retail under $200. To be transparent, I haven’t purchased or tried one yet – so I can’t attest to the quality just yet. However, if they look half as cute in-person as they do online, I’m going to be a very, very happy gal!

Spotify’s Chill Hits Mix

While making dinner, Bob and I love listening to Spotify’s Chill Hits mix on shuffle. There’s a mix of Taylor Swift, LÉON, Blake Rose, Jake Scott, LANY, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, etc. Moreover, the songs are just calm and serene. The tunes put me in the best mood and help us wind down from the day.

Also, if you’re a regular Spotify listener, be sure to checkout Bob’s mix called “Weekend Charades Volume I” and “Weekend Charades Volume II.” Furthermore, stay tuned for more Style Charade Spotify playlists coming soon!
