First Preview of the Sail to Sable x Style Charade Holiday 2021 Collection

Would it really be a holiday capsule collection without a Style Charade bow dress?! Today, I’m SO excited to feature the very first style from the Sail to Sable x Style Charade Holiday 2021 capsule collection – the Allie Dress. If you’ve been searching for a fabulous, memorable dress to take you from the holidays into spring, I truly believe this style is it!

This season marks my FIFTH capsule with Sail to Sable, and I’m incredibly thankful to their team for the opportunity to continue to work together. For those of you who have been around since the beginning – thank you! If you’re new, I’m excited to introduce my designs in collaboration with this phenomenal Connecticut-based womenswear brand. Additionally, this season is our largest collection to date!

Style Charade Bow Dress

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with all things bows. Someone who shares a similar love for feminine, whimsical styles? My sweet, talented and incredibly wonderful friend Allie Provost. During our last Sail to Sable x Style Charade collection launch at Ocean House, Allie and I had a conversation about dresses that we felt were missing in the market during the holiday season.

In a quick moment, Allie shared what she wished was available – a cap sleeve, A-line silhouette with a big bow on back. With some refinements and tweaks, we decided to make it a reality! Therefore, it was only appropriate to give credit to Allie and to name it after her!

Allie Dress Fabric

In working with the STS team, I decided to create the dress in a textured taffeta fabric. We went through SO many fabrics to land on this one! I was a bit crazy about getting it right, lol! 🙂 Allie only deserves the BEST!

The specific fabric that we landed on is easy to steam and it’s a slightly heavier weight than other options because I want it to keep its shape! Additionally, I decided to select a fresh red and pink color combination, and the entire dress is fully lined.

Style Charade Bow Dress Colors

If you’re like me, you own several holiday dresses in black, emerald and/or red. Therefore, I wanted to provide a different option that you likely don’t own. Pink and red is my ultimate fave color combo for the festive season.

Trust me, the Style Charade bow dress is the ultimate statement style. In fact, we couldn’t walk anywhere in The Greenbrier without guests stopping to ask us where to buy the dresses!

Style Charade Dress Fit Guide

As a reminder, the entire Style Charade capsule collection is XXS to 3X.

Overall, I’ve designed the collection to fit true to size. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down. For the Style Charade bow dress featured today, I’ve especially recommend ordering your size. The only catch is if you have a slightly bigger bust and prefer a bit more room. If that’s the case, I’d recommend ordering up.

Also, we were extremely mindful of the length of the dress. I’m 5’4 feet tall, and my friend Ceta (featured below) is 5’9. You can see that it works well on both of us. The Allie Dress is not too long on me nor too short on her. The length was very important to me!
