Testing new products and finding new-to-me brands always me so much joy. Over the years, I’ve admittedly become complacent with items in my daily routine. Like the old adage says, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Well, I was wrong! Today, I’m sharing my top 10 best products 2021 edition (well, as of March, lol).
After the pandemic began, we all needed to embrace change like never before. As such, I made it a goal to try new products – skincare, bedsheets, office items and even cookware. I’m so glad that I did!

Uoma Beauty Say What? Foundation
Quality foundations are essential in my book. Due to acne scaring, I’m always on the hunt for buildable, breathable formulas that make my skin look like itself, just better.
For the past year, I’ve heard phenomenal things about Uoma Beauty. I finally decided to test their Say What? foundation after its release at Nordstrom. In a word, it’s AMAZING. It doesn’t dry out your skin, and it provides nice, medium coverage to start and can be easily build up to cover anything and everything.
After applying it over my primer with my go-to foundation brush and eco-friendly makeup sponge (under $5), the foundation blends easily on my skin. Plus, I don’t break out after wearing it (which is a HUGE deal).

Wowza, friends. Le Creuset is no joke. After doing a poll on Instagram, nearly everyone recommended Le Creuset over any other brand for Dutch (and French) ovens. After a couple month of having it, I’m over-the-moon thrilled with the one we chose. Ours is the 5.5 quart size, and it’s perfect for meals that serve 4-6.
In fact, it’s become one of our most frequently used items in our kitchen, and I’m already exploring other options from the brand to invest in. Furthermore, I’ve already purchased a gold knob to up the aesthetic. Who have I become?!
The main selling point? Le Creuset is of the highest quality and built like a tank. As such, it can be passed down from generation to generation. One day, I’m looking forward to passing it on to our niece for her home. Hopefully she’ll put it to good use like we have!

Gah, these sheets are brilliant, breathable, soft, durable, etc. Over the past decade, we’ve tried so many varieties of bed linens. Frankly, Boll & Branch is the very best, and we’ve had amazing sleep as a result!
Sleep is one of the things that I hold most precious, so I deeply care about the quality and caliber of materials that go on our bed. Velvet Hangers
For many years, I’ve owned simple white plastic hangers from The Container Store. After the creating of my new primary closet, I decided to spruce things up with more elegant, refined hangers.
Amelia, our interior designer, recommended this set for the space. The slim silhouette are far less bulky than my old plastic ones, and the gold detail makes everything look uniform (plus, it matches the room’s hardware). For those of you who use makeup brushes on a daily basis, it’s essential to dry them correctly. About a month ago, a college friend sent me a copy of the book – Salt, Fat Acid, Heat in celebration of #CookingCharades. After diving into the book and her Netflix show, I realized that we needed to completely overhaul our spice cabinet – especially our salt selection.
The two salts we invested in to start? Maldon Sea Salt flakes and Diamond Crystal Kosher salt. You may be thinking, “wait, what? Salt matters?” Yes, friends. It REALLY matters. Overall, these two salts have been game changers to the flavors in dishes, and they both serve different purposes.

Last month, I stumbled on these gorgeous metallic bag displays, and I immediately wanted them for the primary closet. Thankfully, the closet has a lot of shelves. Furthermore, they allow for extra storage space on each shelf, and the displays add height and dimension.

Oh, reMarkable2 – how I love thee! Basically, it’s a thin digital writing tablet. I use it to take handwritten notes during calls and meetings, and the reMarkable 2 digitizes it into text that can be emailed, PDF’d, etc. It’s like a Kindle, a notebook, and a pen joined forces to create a super tablet! Best of all, it was a Style Charade reader recommendation!
All in all, I love the way it keeps me organized and focused. Plus, it saves me so much time. Instead of retyping my notes into an email, I can just covert them to text on the fly! Bob got one too, and we both can’t get enough of them! It’s no wonder it was named by TIME magazine as a Best Invention for 2020.

Over holiday break, we decided to tackle cleaning out our basement. Since moving into our new home, we realized how we have so much stuff. It feels so good to truly organize everything. Our first task? Getting rid of old CD’s and DVD’s.
