Today, I’m excited to share some of our best Amazon buys so far this year. Prior to 2020, I wasn’t a big Amazon gal (seriously). Yes, Amazon is taking over the world and making things more convenient for consumers along the way. But frankly, I didn’t rely on Prime since I was working and traveling so much. While a fabulous option, I was always on the road and never had a “I need… insert item” right now type of situation.

Best Amazon Buys

Now more than a year since March 2020, I can’t imagine life without Amazon and Amazon Prime. Granted, we are still supporting small businesses and local grocery stores and boutiques. But when and where it makes sense, we love opting for Amazon. Here are a few of our favorite and best Amazon buys from the past eight months.

Best Amazon Buys #1: Farmacy’s Green Clean Makeup Cleansing Balm

After years of being a loyalist to makeup remover wipes, I’ve formally transitioned over to Farmacy’s Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm. Game changer. First off, I can tell this simple change is making a big difference for my skin. First, I’m breaking out much less. Plus, I always felt like my makeup wipes felt so wasteful (and relatively expensive over time). Instead, Farmacy’s Green Clean makes my skin feel SO silky smooth, and I’m confident that it’s going to last me for months.

Simply massage it into your skin, and the balm turns to oil and removes makeup, sunscreen, and beyond. Highly, highly recommended!

Hiware Solid Stainless Steel Spider Strainer Skimmer Ladle

Say that five times fast, lol. After watching countless new cooking shows over the past few months, we quickly realized we needed a strainer skimmer ladle for cooking and frying. This bestselling, top rated ladle had us at hello. Specifically, I plan to use this ladle to make Roy Choi’s Malasadas recipe. He made it during Selena Gomez’s HBO Max series, Selena & Chef, and we knew we had to make it. Overall, I’m always on the hunt for recipes that are easy to make, delicious and fast. I have no doubt this recipe will be a crowdpleaser.

Add the Glam with these Falscara Lashes

Friends, the Falscara lashes are the real deal. I’ve never been a faux lash type of gal. However, this style has made me a big believer. In the past, I’ve found false lashes to look… well… really fake. This brand (and specific collection) are the real deal. With the proper application, they look like your lashes… but better. Also, be sure to opt for the #1 or #2 style, and also purchase the applicator, bond/seal (key!), and the actual remover. Altogether, the price for the all four items is less than $50. Best of all, you can use them over and over again.

The Comfiest Down Pillows

Hooray! I’ve been on the hunt for a new pillow for some time. For years, I’ve been loyal to Ralph Lauren pillows, but it was time to switch over to a fresh option. After testing several options from a variety of brands, I finally landed on a pair of pillows that I love from Amazon. Thankfully, they’re only $62.99 and super comfortable. Plus, with over 12,000+ positive reviews, you truly can’t go wrong.

Hydrate with Hydro Flask

As someone who needs to drink WAY more water, the investment in a Hydro Flask was a game changer. Now, I drink more water than normal, and the hydration has done wonders for my skin. Even Bob has noticed how much more water that I’m drinking these days.

Get Clean with Stardrops The Pink Stuff

Simply put, this stuff is a total miracle worker. Basically, it’s helpful for cleaning a variety of items, including saucepans, barbecues, ceramic tiles and beyond. However, our favorite application is the oven door. At under $10, this paste completely cleans every nook and cranny of it. Obsessed!

Stay Cool with Yeti’s Can Insulators

Speaking of hydration, I’m SO SO SO SO SO happy that we purchased these Yeti Can Insulators. They work for standard size cans, such as La Croix (or Cherry Coke Zero if you’re Bob, lol). Seriously, we ADORE our set. In fact, we purchased two in stainless steel and I’m already eyeing other options. Overall, it keeps our drinks extremely cold.

Amazon Wash Cloths

Okay, so yes – these are just simple white wash cloths (lol!). However, I actually truly love (and use these cloths) on a daily basis. Oh, and they have 30,000+ five-star customer reviews. Basically, these are made out of 100% looped-terry cotton. They’re durable, fast drying and they’ve never unraveled in our washer or dryer.

For the past year or so, I’ve started incorporating wash cloths into my nighttime skincare routine. In the past, I would double cleanse, and use a device like this item to remove dirt/grim and clean/exfoliate my face. Over time, I didn’t really love the fact that it’s hard to keep clean and sanitary.

Therefore, I started simply using a fresh wash cloth every night after using Green Clean and my facial cleanser to ensure all everything is off my face before applying toner, serums, moisturizers, etc. It’s wild that something so simple and affordable can make all the difference. My skin is SO much better now in part to a simple set of $19 towels. Wild, but true.
