Hi, friends! Today, I’m sharing my May favorites – the items I’ve been obsessed with and loving this month. Also, Happy Memorial Day! First, I want to share my sincere gratitude for the military personnel who passed away while honorably performing their duties serving the United States Armed Forces. Furthermore, my heart goes out to the families and friends who sacrificed so much, as well. I hope we all take a moment to honor their lives and legacies today and always.
For the past several years, I’ve shared big round-ups of top sales to shop on this holiday weekend. However, I wanted to do something different and highlight May favorites that really “wow’d” me this month. I’m talking – holy cow, knock my socks off, will always have these items in my life type of items. Yes, I’m that serious!
Also, while many items were gifted to me, I sincerely love them. As always with Style Charade, I only feature pieces that I really enjoy. Plus, when working with brands, I don’t accept items unless I know they’ll work for me and my lifestyle.
Jane Win Forever Necklace
May Favorites: Jane Win Jewelry
Earlier this month, the team at Jane Win Jewelry reached out to introduce themselves. Transparently, I wasn’t familiar with the collection prior to that point. However, now they will certainly be a part of my jewelry box forever. I specifically chose their Forever Pendant, which is designed with the intention of “forever finding the true North in life.”
They explain on the site, “the coin pendant is an emblem for finding your way when lost and the certainty that you will end up in the right place.” They go on, “Life is full of choices, roads less traveled and bumps along the way. What is meant to be gets a little help from the firm belief that you will find your way to happiness and home.” Love this. I highly recommend checking out the rest of their jewelry collection. Thank you for the gift, Jane!
Overall, I even plan on gifting her pieces to friends and family in the future. I love that the charms are things that you can add to over time.
Paravel Weekender Bag
For many years, I’ve owned luggage by Away. After this news came out about the company, I felt it was time to find a new brand to travel with. Enter Paravel, the eco-friendly luggage brand that also offers stylish bags and organizers. They are truly a sustainable brand, and they’ve upcycled over 2 million plastic water bottles to date, offset 8,150 tonnes of C02 through our carbon-neutral shipping program, and planted over 35,000 trees through Eden Reforestation Projects. Pretty incredible.
On my most recent trip to Los Angeles, I opted for this phenomenal Weekender Bag in Scout/Tan. First, I love the bag can be secured to your carry-on when you’re walking through an airport or town. SO helpful! Furthermore, these bags can be personalized with your name or monogram, which adds that extra special touch. In the meantime, I’m waiting to receive this Aviator Carry-On Plus bag in Scout/Tan, and I can’t wait to check it out.
Linnea Nectar Candle
First off, I’m obsessed with home fragrance. In fact, we are constantly burning candles in our home, and I’m always on the hunt for new scents to create ambiance within our space. Recently, the team at Linnea reached out to introduce themselves, and I’m SO glad they did. After gifting me with their Sample Set, we were able to test 17 various scents from the brand. Ultimately, we landed on Nectar, Cashmere, and Persian Lime as our personal faves.
In fact, I truly believe Nectar is the perfect home fragrance for summer. Think the perfect slightly sweet with warm, spicy undertones with a combination of apricot, wild jasmine, and white musk.
I highly recommend checking out this Midwest-based, woman-owned, family-driven luxury home fragrance brand. Overall, their soy candles are made in small batches with ethically sourced materials. Love, love, love.
kate spade Sam Bag
kate spade new york Sam Bag
After being tapped by kate spade for a multi-phased partnership, I’ve had the pleasure of testing different bags and accessories. Frankly, I’ve always been a huge fan of their company, and you’ll always find me carrying their handbags. At the same time, I LOVE trying out new styles and seeing what works. Lately, I’ve been carrying the kate spade new york Sam bag on repeat – especially as I’ve been going back into the office.
Plus, my very first kate spade new york purchase ever was the original Sam bag in red. It’s nice to see them releasing new styles, colors, sizes and silhouettes!
This specific size is my favorite; it’s seriously perfect for work. It fits my laptop (the XP10, which is AMAZING btw – so lightweight and easy), and all other essentials like lip glosses, notepads, pens, phone, wallet, keys, etc. Furthermore, I love that it’s durable. The fabric is easy-to-clean, water resistant, etc. Highly recommended!
Hydrangea d’Orsay Sneaker
Rifle Paper Hydrangea Collection
It’s no secret I love a hydrangea print. After all, we wallpapered our powder room in the pattern, lol. Thankfully, Rifle Paper has expanded their Hydrangea Collection with countless more products, including this adorable Keds shoes, drinkware with Corksicle, and other fun accessories and home products. I’ve personally bought so many Rifle Paper Co. products in the past, and these gifted shoes are fabulous additions to the mix.
Virtue Full Conditioner
Virtue Shampoo and Conditioner
Taking care of my hair sometimes feels like a full-time job, lol. I have pretty fine hair, and it can be unruly, get oily and greasy easily and just doesn’t have a lot of body. Thankfully, I’ve been buying and using Virtue hair products for the past month, and I’ve been really loved the way it makes my hair look and feel. Recently, I shared my love of the products with the brand, and I’m excited to continue to spread the word about their brand! Overall, my faves are the full shampoo and full conditioner, and refresh dry shampoo.
BaubleBar Jayna Earrings
BaubleBar Jayna Earrings
Every so often, I come across a pair of statement earrings that I want in every color. Case in point, BaubleBar’s Jayna Earrings, which are an affordable statement style that comes in a variety of colors. From blue to blush, magenta to white, black to yellow, the Jayna Earrings are just divine and look almost designer. The brand was kind to send me a few options for a photo shoot in LA, but I’ve also already bought other versions to round out the rest of my collection. Plus, they retail for only $38/each, which is a steal in my opinion.
Olive & June Spring Box
Olive + June Nail Polish
Last but certainly not least, I can’t get enough of the Olive + June mani systems. Listen, I’m not very good at giving myself manicures at all. However, Olive + June makes the process SO seamless and now I actually enjoy doing my nails. Also, I’m completely obsessed with their nail polish remover, which is acetone free and the easiest process ever. You simply dip your fingers into the center of the pot, twist and your nail polish remover comes off. Genius! There are SO many times when I paint a nail that doesn’t end up looking good or ends up getting smushed somehow. The nail polish remover pot makes it easy to remove just a single polish without impacting the rest of your nails. Does that make sense?
Also, their Poppy product is SO helpful with nail polish application. It’s something you just need to see/try to believe. Again, as someone who’s horrible at painting my nails, the Poppy patented bottle handle is a fool-proof way to apply the formula. Looking for a box to start with? I highly recommend the Olive & June Spring Mani Box, which has a fabulous array of pastel and signature hues. You can’t go wrong!
