When you get an email that says, “we want to work with you to style Neiman Marcus party dresses,” the immediate answer is “yes!” Like, immediately.
If you were to tell when I started blogging back in 2008 that, eventually, a brand like Neiman Marcus would want to partner with me, I wouldn’t believe you. In my teens and 20s I remember the countless hours spent at their downtown Chicago store and their North Shore location near my childhood home. Granted, I would constantly gravitate towards all the things my younger self could not dream of affording. I mean, Chanel boutiques within both locations?! Awe-inspiring. To be able to work with the brand all these years later is truly a pinch me moment.
Neiman Marcus Party Dresses
Ok, so once the excitement of the opportunity subsided, the task set in. How does one choose the ideal set of Neiman Marcus party dresses that 1) you can feel like your best self wearing, 2) have an attainable(ish) price point, and 3) are special enough to create a thumb-stopping moment.
In this crazy era of quick content and endless scrolling, hoping to cut through clutter feels futile at best, lol. So, I basically said to myself, let’s find things I would love to wear, and my friends would love wearing, too. Simple as that. Let’s dive in!

Red Satin Mini
When I stumbled upon this red style, my first though was Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina. Granted, hers was a fit-and-flare midi, but the neckline and bodice are really hitting those notes. This option is under $400 and available in three colors. It fits pretty true to size, but if you’re in between, definitely size up.
It includes a side zip and hits well above the knee. For reference, I’m 5’4″ and can make most regular and petite sizing work. I paired it with a classic Tory Burch ivory bag that I converted to a clutch by tucking in the chain strap.

Deep V-Neck Sequin Mini Dress
When I first tried this champagne gold sequin dress, I immediately channeled Jon Hamm in that Friends and Neighbors club scene. If you have a Vegas trip or downtown bachelorette party on the horizon, this is the dress for you. The straps are adjustable, and the back zipper runs the length of the dress and can unzip all the way. Love that. The embellishments are a mix of sequins and beads, so there’s lovely dimension. Plus, the skirt is structured, so the bell shape stays put, even after sitting. Dinner and dancing it is!

Sequined Strapless Mini Dress
Like the previous dress, this black sequin option is also perfect for a party. However, this one is a bit easier to dress down if you’d like. Layer it over a black cashmere turtleneck and opaque black tights, throw on a black blazer, and the vibe is completely different. Now, the back of this one is totally unique. It includes a rhinestone-encrusted corset with a zipper skirt – so fun! This dress is part of the Neiman Marcus Friends & Family Sale happening now through Tuesday, so it’s currently 25% off.
I styled this look with my new favorite silver clutch and neutral suede pumps. If you want to really level things up, these silver platforms are a great idea!

Strapless Striped Sequin Midi Dress
Now this dress really caught my attention. The silhouette is a bit more conservative and simply stunning in-person. If the previous two are more bachelorette-ready, this one is perfect to wear to a wedding. I adore the green stripe and sequin combination, and it also includes an interior corset that clasps in separately for an even more secure fit. Again, this piece can be styled in a multitude of ways. Add a crisp white button down and a thin contrasting belt, and it’s now an elevated daytime option. Love!
