This week, Bob and I are thrilled to be invited to attend an influencer trip to feature Southern Tide clothing from their summer 2024 collection. So exciting! It’s extremely rare for both of us to be free for these types of experiences, and I’m head over (stiletto) heels to spend time with the Southern Tide team. Bob also being able to come? A dream!
Southern Tide Clothing Collection
Receiving the invitation from Southern Tide was truly a pinch me moment! First, we’ve been craving a trip to a warm weather destination. Escape the tumultuous Chicago weather and storms, you know?
Moreover, this marks the first time we’ve ever worked with the brand. In the past, we’d heard phenomenal things about the company, since its one of the sister brands of another brand we love, Lilly Pulitzer. Everyone has always had the most wonderful things to stay about their collection, but we’ve never had the chance to experience it ourselves.
Both of us feel beyond honored to do so now!
Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island
Additionally, the trip is taking place at the gorgeous Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, which is located near Jacksonville, Florida. This property has been on our list for some time, and the hotel looks positively stunning. Beyond the stunning surroundings and accommodations, it’s going to be the ideal backdrop to style outfits for our stay.
Plus, the property features 13 miles of shoreline, making it the perfect beach getaway for families, couples, solo trips, and more. I’m also thrilled they have an award-winning spa, which we will definitely be taking advantage of!
Overall, we’re truly overjoyed to experience all aspects of this luxury hotel.
New to Southern Tide? This coastal brand was originally founded in 2005, and it all started with a simple Polo top. From there, it expanded into a curated collection of apparel for men, women, and even kids. One of my favorite brand mantras of theirs is, “we believe the South is more than just a location; it is a state of mind.” I couldn’t agree more!
The line features effortless, timeless pieces that embrace all the coastal vibes. Think stripes, florals, solids, and beyond in a mix of blues, pinks, greens, and neutrals. I also love that the entire brand is well-priced and doesn’t break the bank. Great quality items at an attainable prices. Love that!
Southern Tide Dresses
So what am I planning to pack for our trip to Amelia Island? Dresses. Allll the dresses! 🙂 After perusing Southern Tide’s website, I immediately fell in love with this gorgeous pink and orange long dress. The pattern and colors are bold and vibrant, and it’s one of the styles that’ll be great both for the beach and even to wear out to dinner.
Another style that immediately caught my attention? The Cam Stripe Poplin Dress in Blue Fin. Part preppy, part coastal, this breezy piece will be perfect for a cover-up at the pool or for a more informal lunch.
Next up is this elegant eyelet dress in a bold kelly green hue (which is also sold in white). I love this dress is extremely versatile, and can be styled with espadrilles, sneakers, sandals, and even heels. Plus, the green color pairs well with countless options, from lilac to pink, metallics and whites.
Speaking of eyelet, no summer trip is complete without the perfect little white dress. Southern Tide’s Sylvie Eyelet Dress is the ultimate LWD, and I can’t wait to show you the accessories that I’m pairing with it!
Accessories
Southern Tide isn’t just known for their clothing, but also their amazing array of accessories. The brand truly has everything you need for the perfect summer wardrobe, including hats, sandals, and beach-friendly handbags.
Specifically, I fell in love with the Straw Travelers’ Tote, which features built-in straps to secure a sunhat. Brilliant! Plus, it’s easy to pack since it stores flat, and it has enough room to fit all of my warm weather essentials, like sunscreen, lip gloss, etc.
For a sunhat, I’m bringing this Packable Straw Beach Hat, which is the perfect size to pair with the Travelers Tote. While it would be a joy to get slightly tan during this trip, the smarter side of my brain reminds me to try to avoid the sun as much as possible. I’ve been working really hard on my skincare game lately, and I’d hate to reverse the effect of all that effort for moments in the sun. This hat will definitely help me do so!
Last but not certainly least, this gorgeous Mini Woven Rattan Tote. Be still my heart! I love the shape and structure of this bag so much – the ultimate summer bag. I’m confident this will be my most worn bag during the trip.
Packing for Pickleball
Other must-haves for our trip? Pickleball outfits! How fun, right? Part of the itinerary is calling for pickleball lessons. Bob is especially excited about this activity, and he immediately chose what to wear from the men’s active collection – their brrr°®-die 8″ Performance Short and Skipjack Polo Shirt.
Me on the other hand? Well, let’s just say I’ll be there for chic “on-the-court” fashion photo moments. TBH, I’m more of an “aprés pickleball” type of gal, lol. Running is hard, friends. Haha! In truth, my left shoulder has been giving me a lot of issues the past several months. So odd, right? It’s driving me crazy. I keep thinking it’ll stop hurting, but it’s starting to become a thing. Le sigh.
Hopefully I can master the art of pickleball without tearing a muscle OR sweat! My mom would often say, “Jennifer – we glow, we never sweat.” 🙂
We’re excited to learn more about the sport that’s sweeping the nation. Well, the world, really.
Are you a tennis, golf, or pickleball player? If so, I think you’ll be extremely impressed with their Active Shop selections. In fact, I had a difficult time making my final selections since I loved so many options. Ultimately, I’ve chosen to wear their Frances Zip Front Performance Dress and Runaround Quarter Zip Pull Over. Stylish Separates
Sure, I love a fabulous dress, but Southern Tide also has the most phenomenal array of stylish separates, including skirts, pants, shorts, tops, tanks, and tees. Spoiler alert: the items are even better in-person.
Friends, the Fit Guide on their website is spot-on. We’ve had ZERO issues. Everything fits us perfectly. We’re impressed. In fact, the moment he got his pieces, he threw them in the wash to wear them to work the next day.
It’s easy to tell when we both really love things when we wear them the very next day. I can’t wait for you to see Bob’s outfits (a few sneak previews below)! Every single piece is SO him, and it’s really fun to see him light up when wearing the items.
