Oh, Veronica Beard – how I love thee! Over the past few years, they’ve become my go-to brand for beautiful tailored pieces – especially a Veronica Beard blazer. In fact, when I used to travel for work (remember those days? lol), a Veronica Beard blazer was always among the first items that I packed in my luggage. Frankly, the items worked for me from meetings to cocktail hour.

But don’t be fooled – this collection is not just for work. Thanks to their team’s ever-evolving designs, the collection can be worn while relaxing at home, outdoor activities on weekends and even date night. They’re also the type of pieces you’ll seek out in your closet when you don’t know what to wear. Style a Veronica Beard Blazer over a t-shirt or tank top with jeans and you’re set. A fancy occasion? Add it over your shoulders for a dressy look. You can never go wrong with them.

How I Discovered the Brand

Many years ago, I remember stumbling on Veronica Beard at my local Nordstrom store. One of their blazers was hanging prominently on a rack facing the aisle, and I literally stopped in my tracks. After trying on the garment in the fitting room, I was in trouble, haha! The blazer was SO good.

After purchasing it, I went home and tried it on with a variety of looks to make sure it was versatile enough for other pieces in my closet. It was perfect, and it still is. Years later, my first Veronica Beard purchase is still in my closet, and I can’t imagine getting rid of it!

My sincere thanks to YollocalliEnlace Chicago La Catedral Cafe & Restaurant, Little Village Local, and The National Museum of Mexican Art for bringing this design to the city. Furthermore, the artwork is by the talented Sarita Garcia and A. Vásquez.

Today, I’m excited to take a closer look at the brand and their new Spring 2021 collection. I’m confident you will fall in love with their classic, modern pieces. While the collection has luxe fabrics and tailored details, there’s an effortless, casual vibe to it all. Best of all, everything is posh but not overly precious.

Who is Veronica Beard?

Veronica isn’t just one person, it’s TWO. Plus, they have be sisters-in-law, which is pretty incredible. I could NEVER be in business with family, lol. They would drive me nuts! Clearly, Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard work extremely well together. In 2010, they officially launched their collection with their signature Dickey Jacket. Since the launch, the brand has taken the women’s fashion world by storm.

Moreover, they just seem like the type of women you’d want to hang out with over a glass of champagne. Check out “The Veronica’s” section of their website where they share styling tips, travel advice and more inspiration behind their seasonal collections.

If you’re new to the brand, I recommend starting with a Veronica Beard blazer. Trust! I especially recommend investing in a solid color blazer, like this beautiful orchid hue below. In general, this will help you maximize the cost per use of the item. For example, I still wear this gorgeous Riding Jacket (also seen here), classic ivory and perfect pink blazer. The solid color blazers seriously pair well with everything – denim, dresses, skirts, etc.

Veronica Beard Collection

Today, I’m SO happy to share their Spring 2021 collection. From tailored blazers to soft sweaters, sleek dresses to denim, Veronica Beard offers something for all occasions. Furthermore, the Veronicas were really influenced by the pandemic, and they chose to make some changes to the line for their socially-distanced shoppers.

Vogue explained it best – “In lieu of their slick double-breasted suits, for instance, are now more laid-back twists on “matching sets,” like a cotton floral button-down and shorts combo and a lemon utility jacket with matching trousers.” Additionally, they reworked some popular dresses to feature more easygoing proportions. Thank goodness! Pandemic or not, I’m the type of gal that likes effortless silhouettes. Body-con? No thank you. I really hope they keep up these more “flowy” styles.

Size Guide

Furthermore, the brand is extremely size inclusive (YES, YES, YES). Listen, it’s sad to think I even need to denote size inclusivity, but the lack of it among other brands happens way too often. Thankfully, the Veronica Beard team is all about making all women feel beautiful. Love that. As such, they have expanded sizing on most pieces from sizes 0-24 (including my Milley Dickey Jacket blazer seen today).
