One of my favorite aspects of travel is having the chance to get together with friends in other cities. While I was only in Houston for a quick 48 hours before heading to Dallas for work, I was able to see the lovely Carrie Colbert. Best of all, I finally met her five-month-old daughter, Elle! She is the sweetest and happiest baby, and Carrie and I had such a fun time catching up over brunch. If you haven’t seen her redesigned blog, be sure to take a look! This mural is from a collaboration Carrie did with Houston-based artist, Mr. D. I’m in love with the cheerful colors!
The dress in today’s post is by the inimitable Camilyn Beth. I’ve been a fan of the brand for years, and I was honored to work with them in the early days of Style Charade {more here, here, and here}. When I first spotted the Camilyn Beth Go Go gown in this bright fuchsia hue, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my ever-growing collection of CB dresses! The quality and construction of her pieces are impeccable, and the styles are timeless, yet modern. Be sure to check our her full collection here.
