HUE #ChooseColor for Fall

Jennifer Lake Chicago Lyric Opera

If you’ve been following Style Charade for some time, you know that I’m a huge fan of HUE (as seen here, here and here). The brand’s line of legwear, tights, socks and sleepwear have become permanent fixtures in my closet. I literally wear items from their collection every single season. When temperatures drop, I immediately turn to their leggings and tights, and when it’s summer, I adore their socks and sleepwear. I’m thrilled to partner again with HUE for their #ChooseColor campaign. The brand embodies one of my core beliefs about fashion – there is joy in choosing to embrace all things color. HUE totally gets it!

One of the most common questions that I receive from readers is, “How do I wear color?” Color can be intimidating when it comes to infusing it in your wardrobe. At the same time, there is so much joy and value in living a more bea”HUE”tiful life.

FOUR REASONS TO #CHOOSECOLOR

I’m a big believer that life (and fashion) is better in color. Here are four reasons to consider infusing color into your wardrobe:

  1. Changes Your Mood: Seriously! I’m a big believer that color lifts your spirits and can even change your mood.
  2. Forces You Out of Your Comfort Zone: Donning neutrals is often the “easy choice.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t give you the chance to try new things and push the limits of your personal style.
  3. Embraces Creativity: Color gives you the opportunity to experiment with color combinations and to try new things with your outfits.
  4. Color Often Speaks Louder than Words: I’ve always loved color psychology. Since a child, I’ve loved color theory, and I’m a big believer that a simple color can make a big statement. One of my fave examples? The difference between giving red roses vs. yellow roses. Red signifies romance; yellow signifies friendship.

Next year, HUE will celebrate its 40th anniversary, and their new collection features countless stylish options for fashion legwear. Here are some of the styles to try this season:

FISHNET TIGHTS

How chic are HUE’s fishnet tights? I always feel so feminine and chic when wearing them. I paired the with this cute red skirt and statement top for work, but they are also perfect to wear for date night. Very versatile!

DENIM LEGGINGS

If you’re like me, I dread putting on a pair of jeans in the morning before work. And shopping for jeans? Forget about it! That’s why I’ve started opting to wear HUE’s denim leggings. They still look like jeans – but they are much more comfortable and versatile. How great are the ripped knee skimmer denim leggings?! They also offer leatherette leggings in a variety of colors (like this black version).

INTO THE BLUE

When the temperatures start to drop in fall (especially in Chicago), tights are my go-to style to keep my legs both stylish and warm. HUE’s blue opaque tights are the perfect solution for outfits for work or weekend.

EMERALD GREEN

HUE’s tights are the best in the business, and I’m especially in love with their emerald green opaque tights. I chose to style it with an emerald green lace dress, and I’m excited to rock this look all fall.

Thanks lady! Sadly, the stripe coat is from a few years ago. It’s Stella McCartney, in case you want to check eBay or Poshmark!
